Vortex Tours, fun, mysterious adventures in the Pacific Northwest USA with Dan Shaw

(part 2)

Oregon Coast

Folded rock formations on the Oregon coast

As the oceanic plate slides under the continental plate, extreme pressures fold rocks.

Between Grants Pass, Oregon, and the coast, many exquisite side-trips beckon us. Eight Dollar Mountain features an easy boardwalk to view rare carnivorous plants. Take a dip nearby in the incredibly green Smith River.

Dan and Lyna at the Smith River, Oregon

My wife and I love to visit the Smith River.

Walk barefoot in the sand and surf. Breathe the electric air. Watch the Sun set over the Pacific.

Shasta: Vortex Cluster

Mt. Shasta is located less than 5 hour's drive North of San Francisco, and a hour's drive South of Medford, Oregon. Nearest major airport: Medford (MFR). Airport pickup and dropoff is available by appointment.

Pluto's Cave

Absolutely full of orbs.

Most of the features are on private property. Visible from roadways.

Mima Mounds

Visible from Interstate 5 in the region of the Weed Airport and Rest Stop.

Panther Meadow

Rest in the delicate meadow.

Shasta Summit Trail

Extremely difficult climb. At the summit there's a hot spring where John Muir spent a night, boiling on one side, freezing on the other.

The Shasta Vortex Field Guide, by Dan Shaw, describes 20 Shasta Vortex points in detail.

Lake Tahoe & Sierra Nevada Mountains

Blue waters of Lake Tahoe

Unbelievably blue, 12-mile-long alpine lake. In the area: Mt. Rose, the "positive electrode" paired with Lake Tahoe's "negative electrode." Historic Carson City.

I've had a life-long relationship with Lake Tahoe. Winter: snow skiing. Summer: water skiing. Travel times: 1 hour from Reno airport (RNO). 4 hours from SFO. 6 hours from Medford.

Yosemite Valley National Park

Yosemite Tree of Life Geometry

Dan has identified the Qabalistic (mystical Jewish) "Tree of Life" Geometry in the landscape of Yosemite.

Dan led his first tour group here in 1982.

Fee. Ranges from easy to extremely difficult. 4 hours drive from SFO. Nearest airport: Fresno Yosemite (FAT), 2.5 hours drive to the Park.

San Francisco

Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco

I was born & raised in the SF area and I know many sweet vortex spots there. You might prefer to start your tour in San Francisco. Fly in to SFO airport (or Oakland) and start your trip from there. I can provide airport pickup.

Themed Tours:

Cowboys & Indians

Visit famous sites of American history, go to a rodeo, shop for authentic Western wear & gear. Visit with Native Elders. Shop for crafts from certified Native artisans.

Mining Towns

Visit historic mining towns. Pan for placer gold in scenic creeks and rivers. Gold and silver deposits create a unique vortex energy.

Montana Vortex Tour Guide

Dan led tours at the Montana Vortex for 3 seasons. In this series of photos you can compare the apparently changing height of the people when they stand on either side of a perfectly level platform.

Travel, Lodging & Meals

I'm available to provide tours whenever you'd like to come to the Pacific Northwest, or any other destination. I don't have any pre-arrangements, but instead, we can talk about your precise hopes and dreams for a once-in-a-lifetime visit. You'll arrange your own travel to the region. Since I'm in the immediate vicinity of the Medford, Oregon airport (MFR), the Rogue Valley makes an ideal starting point for some itineraries. You might prefer to start your tour at Portland or San Francisco (SFO), and I can provide airport pickup there as well. From the airport we pick up a rental vehicle with one or more of us as drivers.

How many days are you thinking of? One at the coast & redwoods, one at Crater Lake, one at Shasta, one at Tahoe? or more/other days and places? Because of the leisurely, meditative nature of vortex tours, I highly recommend one or more "down" non-travel days, too. As your guide I'm here to provide any and all support services to make your trip more safe, comfortable, and enjoyable. Let me know what arrangements you'd like made for food: special dietary needs? What types of accommodation do you prefer? Simple or elegant?

Depending on the exact nature of my work, the fee varies. We have options. As your guest along the way (at hotels and meals) then I do my vortex tours by donation. As your host, I like to receive around $200 / day. I'm open to negotiation. That price includes a full set of my e-books & two EarthStar globes.

Tour van with professional driver available by arrangement.
