Jackson Hot Springs
Soak in the healing mineral baths. Developed resort with camping, swimming pool, and saunas. Entrance fee. Closed Mondays.
Oregon Vortex
Feel the energies. See for yourself the "Shrink & Grow" phenomenon. Open May through October. Entrance fee. Half an hour North of Medford. Easy walk. On a hillside.

Summer: River sports. Winter: Snow skiing. Dan teaches beginner downhill skiing. Mt. Ashland is a non-profit ski area, relatively small, with steep runs and gorgeous views. Year round: wine tasting.

Waterfall Overload
From Table Rocks towering 800 feet over the Rogue River, we drive to Toketee Hot Spring on the edge of the Umpqua River. Along the way we can easily visit numerous waterfalls among the dramatic volcanic landscape.

Upper & Lower Table Rocks
Two volcanic plateaus harbor rare and endangered plants and animals. Hike up through a whole range of ecosystems. Moderate to difficult hike. 800-foot gain in elevation.
Avenue of the Boulders
The Gorge
The Umpqua River thunders through a narrow gorge and through a lava tube. Paved walkway.
Toketee Waterfall
Moderate hike (about 15 minutes) with hundreds of steps.
Toketee Hot Spring
FREE access to a minimally-developed hot spring with overnight camping. Visit the gushing fresh water springs just upstream from the campsites. Pay for parking.
Crater Lake
One of the 19 mountains and bodies of water that form a nearly perfect circle around the Grand Tetons. Oregon's only National Park. Check roads closures in winter.
High desert East of Crater Lake.
Oregon Redwoods
A very healing energy indeed. Spend time with these old friends.
